Hi guys. I'm in the market for a grapple. palletforks.com has some reasonable prices, but I've seen some posts with issues that concern me. One post was an issue with the skid steer "quick attach" and the other had to do with one of the cylinders not closing the top portion of the grapple. I wonder if these are cheap Chinese stuff? You know... they say if it's too good to be true (price), it usually isn't. I'm impressed with the products at Everythingattachments.com, but the price is sooo much higher. I may just break down and buy the more expensive one for peace of mind. Any thoughts? :)

I just ordered a 48" root grapple from them, expecting it to arrive in the next couple of days so I'll have to post later how it works. I have read some negative comments on the forum but I believe PF has corrected them. Their ad does say "made in the USA."

I got a grapple from WildKat Attachments and am very happy with it. I got the economy 48" model and it is working out great. I had a problem with the first one I got:thumbdown: and they replaced it and I had the new one the next day. :thumbsup:Their service is great.

Hey Bud, I'm curious to know what you think about the 48" when you get to working with it. Thanks.

Does your 48" have the skid steer quick attach? The web site does not say.

OK I'll keep you in mind. It might take a few days to get it plumbed, I'm waiting to get it mounted and then take some measurements for the hoses. Supposed to be here today and I will bring it home from the business address I gave, but I'm swamped the next few days thru the weekend with some obligations.

Thanks Bud. Will you be using a 3rd function valve connection or will you be connecting to your rear remotes?

Yes, you can get it with the SSQA. You have to specify how you want it when you order. I got mine without the hyd couplers as I had to put 3/8 AG couplers on it. The work I have done with it so far is great. I use it with the 3rd function valve..I have no complaints.

Thanks Tom. That 48" WIldcat looks like it's built well. I'll be calling Wildcat for more information. Thanks again.

Hey Bud, I'm curious to know what you think about the 48" when you get to working with it. Thanks.

Almost a month later and I finally had all the hoses and fittings come in and I got it together this afternoon. As others on the forum have discovered the SS QA plate is a poor fit on the Titan Express products. Unacceptable fit to try and use the implement without modifying the plate. I had some 1/4" bar stock laying around so I used it as a shim on the top side of the attachment. Once the the shims were in place the the fit was like a glove. the bottom pins were nice and snug against the bottom hole slot when the arms were engaged. Grapple worked well when I used it to pick up some logs and brush down in my wooded valley area. Got a nice burn pile stacked, just waiting for some rain before I light it up, maybe this weekend.

When you order it, You tell them what attachment you want on it. Make sure you mention SSQA. I ordered it with no hyd couplers as I needed 3/8 AG couplers. It came with no couplers, and no SSQA. New Customer rep it turned out. I called them when I went to use it and told them, and had an experienced rep and she found the problem and I picked the replacement grapple from the local Old Dominion terminal the next morning. Fast delivery. Used it this past week and moved 2 brush piles and pulled out several scrub bushes also. I am very happy with it. I had residential delivery on the first one, but did not want to wait on the second one, so went to the terminal.

Glad to hear it was a simple fix. After looking around, I got a deal from NAI and ordered their 60" light duty grapple. Got it delivered a few days ago. It's sitting out back until I can get around to ordering the 3rd function valve kit. Like you, it will be about a month before it's up and running.
