Yep, that's it. Here it is beside a normal box blade for perspective.

I think Xfaxman has the only side mounted grapple. Looks like it is pretty effective too.

Over the weekend, we did some landscaping at the end of our driveway. A few granite blocks and some evergreens. Blocks were about 20" square and maybe 48" tall. I was trying to move and set them with a chain and forks.. Then I remembered I had a grapple bucket .. Made life much easier.

This would have made working on Grandpa's farm so much better! And would allow grapple junkies to keep the fun going even when off the tractor...

Just had the new Brushraker 54" Trash Rake installed on the 5055E the other day.

I've only had a few hours of runtime on it, but I'm really liking it so far. Beats using pallet forks by a long shot.

Some pictures from this summer, for the picture thread.

These are trees that I pushed over with the stump bucket and picked up with the Monster Grapple.

Here are a few from yesterday and today.

A grapple holding a grapple...

Carrying some fence boards down to repair a section of broken fence...

I tried using the rear grapple to bunch all the mill scraps to cut up into firewood over the trailer. It worked "okay" but in the end the FEL grapple worked better when the pieces got smaller.

And lastly a photo of my two helpers, of course, with the obligatory grapple in the pic as well. :)

Have you skidded any logs with the rear grapple yet?

Matt

I have used it a couple times mostly for pulling rotten deadfall logs out of the woods where I couldn't easily grab them with the grapple. The biggest log I've skidded so far was an ash not even 20" in diameter and maybe 14' long, nothing to speak of.

I did use it to carry my PHD down the road though, which at first I just did for the fun of it to see if it would work, but actually ended up working out really well.

I was wondering where that rear grapple went. I remember when you brought it home - you need to show it off some.

Hi XFaxMan,

Please keep on posting these awesome pictures, and I may yet be able to talk my SWMBO into buying me a telehandler.

She has been getting frustrated trying to add more brush on top of our already highly stacked fire pit/pile.

...and when I tell her to look at how useful it would be for other lifting and moving tasks, she is already wavering.

Thanks,
Thomas

Here are some more awesome pictures :D

Pulled some cedars with the Longarm tree puller, laid them on the ground next to each other. Pushed them together and picked up all that the grapple could get a bite of.
