Snow Attachments gravel in the lawn no problem

Someone on TBN years ago recommended pulling your snow piles back into the drive just before they melt. That drops the sand or gravel right where you want it. Works pretty well, saves a bunch of rake time. Only thing is you have to remember to do it!

I did buy a Stihl power broom today. It is heavy but it seems to do a good job. It was a little too wet but I had to try it out! I am a little sore after putting 2 tanks of fuel through it, but I think less sore then if I raked for the same amount of time-and using a power tool is always more fun than your using your muscles.

I did say to pull the snow banks back from the lawn edge into the driveway, but others might have said so as well. I did it last spring, but this year missed the narrow window, and it's since closed. And this spring I've got a TON of gravel in my lawn in way too many places. Still too early to do the power broom/paddle wheel thing, have to wait for things to dry out a bit more.
Have used 2 different Echo split pole units, the newer one having higher engine CCs. Both have worked great, and the paddle has lasted so many years I haven't a clue how long I've had it, but it just doesn't wear out.
I pull toward me, switch from right to left side of my body to balance out the arms/shoulders, and occasionally use it pushing, but not often because it wreaks havoc on my back. The Echo backpak blower does a great job too.

I have the hedge trimmer, chainsaw with short and long bars, and the weed eater and tiller heads that came with the original tool. Never used the tiller to date...

Hedge trimmer articulates, so it can be used on tall grass or weeds along my pond banks, but it does tend to drop the clippings into the water. Will see further this spring/summer how my Samuri sickle bar cutter works for the same area.

You can put the gravel back with a strong leaf blower. You wouldn't think so but it does a great job and is really quick.

Let me add this works great but works best if you do it before the grass grows. It's harder after that.

Would a rental gas powered detacher work?

No. The dethatcher has a limited use, more about the growth of the underlying grass, not the surface 'trash' cleanup. Do the cleanup first, then dethatch, and cleanup again.

This weekend I used my Red Max back pack leaf blower circa 1986. I think its 43cc. Worked very well. Thank you who ever suggested this earlier in the thread.
