Me too. On my JD5520, there are fittings on top of the axle that require grease only every couple hundred hours and are bathed in dirt. They face up so a rubber snap cap makes sense to me. It's not a problem for any of us to remove them except in maybe a high frequency grease application but there are many applications where they make sense.
