Thanks for the nice picture. Just about had myself sold on the BX22 til I saw your picture. Reminded me how much I like that 2210. Would like a backhoe though. I'm struggling with that part. Do I really need the hoe?

I see a few people who have a loader and a back blade for snow. Myself, I had enough with a back blade. I used to have a 2010 with a back blade that I plowed 1 mile of road with. Got really tired of plowing backwards. If you don't have too much to plow it should be ok.

With my 332 and front blade, I can plow my 800' drive with intersection in about 10 minutes. I'm sure that with a loader it would be more like 45 minutes.

The 2210 is quite a machine. I've heard in the wind that there might be a backhoe for it soon. Might want to check with your dealer to see if it might be true.

I have a 4400 with a 430 loader & a 6' rear blade. I also have a 455 with a front blade. I have about 9000 square feet of driveway to clean We had a lot of snow this winter. I only used the 4400 2 times & that was to pile the snow up so I had more space to push more snow. I much prefer the front blade to the loader for clearing snow.

Thanks for your reply Chris - the answer I was kind of expecting.
If I can swing it, I think I'm going to go for both the loader and blade. You only live once I guess!

Update:
I ended up working 12 hour days all last week and couldn't get out to see the 2210 again until Saturday. Took it for a little spin. One word comes to mind - sweet!. Very smooth running. I've never used the 2 pedal hydro before and I really liked it. I was also very impressed with the turning radius. And.....my wife said that it "fits" me very well. Being that I'm 6'1" and 250lbs, I guess I looked a little large on my 332!
Anyway, I'm to call my man Dave on Monday afternoon for that final "hard" price. I'm going with the tractor and 62c deck to start. I have a JD snowblower that I need to trade also. He said to hold off until fall, and we'll trade the snowblower in on the loader.
Also, in anticipation of my purchase, I'm negotiating a deal to mow a couple large tracts down the road from me. That'll give me more seat time and also help pay for it.
Actually, with the special financing and all, it's quite a good deal.
Probably going to "pull the trigger" tomorrow.
Dave told me the tractor and 62c are in stock, but it'll be 2 weeks getting the attaching hardware for the deck (back ordered).

Note: probably good that I still have my 332 with the blade and chains on still. Looking to get 6-10 inches tomorrow!

One more question before pulling the trigger

Ok. Got my deal set - pulling the trigger tomorrow.

On every tractor I've had before, I've had the rear tires loaded. Even on my garden tractors. My dealer was kind of steering me away from loading the rears. I realize the 2210 weighs in at around 1440#.

I'm getting just the 2210 and 62c to start. This fall I'll be getting either the loader, front blade, or both. Even if I just get the front blade for snow removal, I feel i want those tires loaded. I plow snow for a living and I know that weight is your best friend in slippery conditions.

If I go with a loader later also, I feel that the loaded tires plus extra rear ballast will just be all the better.

I feel that I'm going to demand the rears be loaded. What do you guys think?

Re: One more question before pulling the trigger

If me, getting the mower, I would see how well it performs on the lawn, and then decide on weight later when I have the need (such as the blade or FEL). Then use a ballast box on the three point to add weight (I-match and ballast box maybe). With the I-match, the weight can be dropped off quickly and easily. You are in between my Deere 445 and Deere 4300 in size. The 445 does fine without wheels loaded and the 4300 does fine with them loaded (no MMM) and a ballast box. Adding the fluid later is not a major problem to do yourself.
Maybe make a deal with the dealer that he will load the tires when (if) you get a blade or FEL. Cover your behind that way. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: One more question before pulling the trigger

Excellent idea beenthere.
Like you said that way I can see how it performs on the turf unloaded first. I'm sure my dealer will load the tires for me before winter with the add on purchase.

Thanks!
