Sorry for all the questions guys - the more I research, the more questions come to mind.

Snow removal. Currently I use a 54" blade on my 332 for plowing my 800' gravel drive. This works great for me and is really quick. But, the more I read here, the more I see FEL. I really don't feel I have much use for a loader as my property is pretty much all lawn and finished. The guys I talk to at work sound like the folks here - once you get a loader you'll wonder how you ever lived without it.
So, by question is - do you guys use a loader for snow removal? I run very large JD loaders at work, and are very cumbersome for snow removal. I can plow my driveway with the front blade on my 332 in about 10 minutes.
If I make this 2210 purchase, my feeling is that I can always add the loader later if I wanted.

Blade or loader - loader or blade?

If you are going to finance, you will find a much beeter rate getting the loader up front, as it will be on the low interest financing. Later, it will go on a revolving (higher interest) account.

If I was looking at the size you are, I would have a hard time NOT getting the 2210. I think you are right about the front blade being better than the FEL for snow removal. Are you planning on keeping your present unit? You could stil use it for blading.

No, the 332 is going for trade in.
I agree with you in the fact that financing the loader with the tractor is better. I'm still leaning toward just the blade for now. My credit union usually has some good rates if I decide to go for the loader later. As a matter of fact, I emailed my credit union with Deere's financing options to see if they could match it or do better. It's all part of the negotiation process for me. Besides buying a vehicle, this is one of the biggest purchases I will make in my life. I have to make sure I get the best deal on the equipment and the financing.

I don't have an immediate need for a loader. In fact, I first was looking at the (x) model, but for not much price difference I can get the 2210 and have the option of adding lots of attachments later. My goal will be to pay off the tractor/mower/blade, then think about more goodies.

Prosperity, I said that when I got my JD 4100 /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif (up from a GT 225!), and now I wish I had bitten the bullet and got the loader as I want one now and I have not figured out how to get one. i have a neighbor who has left his sitting in one place for an entire year, I may ask him if he wants to seel it to me for a reduced price<$1000:(. I also want to get a Spreader seeder got that narrowed dowm to a Eurospan, BEFCO or Herd. Leaning towards BEFCO and Eurospan /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif I will see what I choose and tel you all later.

I have the blade on my 4110 for snow removal. However, the two large storms we had this year I put the FEL on for. I was running out of room for the snow and I could get it out of my way better with the loader. By the way what part of northern PA are you from? I grew up about 30 miles north of Williamsport.

Man, the blade and the FEL - best of both worlds. Wish I could afford both but don't know if I can swing it all right now. If I could I'd probably get it all right away.

I know what you mean about being able to move the snow with a loader. I almost got to the point where I couldn't get my truck into the barn this winter.

I'm in Cameron County - about 1.5 hours west of Williamsport.

The JD 2210 has 23 HP engine, with 17.7 HP to the PTO. I haven't had a chance to use my 2210's beverage holder yet although up until recently hot chocolate or coffee would have been my beverage of choice. It was a cold and long winter in southcentral Indiana.

I'm getting close now. It's all I think about lately. I'll have to make my decision soon or I'll drive myself crazy.

My next question - I see that most love their FEL.
I've used a loader for some snow removal before, and found it to kind of be a pain. This is what I've used:

Right now I don't think I can do both the blade and loader. I was wondering how you guys feel about snow removal with the loader. I have about 800' of gravel driveway.

When it snows enough to plow my driveway, I've already plowed snow for 12 hours (I work for the highway). By the time I get home I'm tired, but I like to get on the tractor some. Does it take you a lot longer to clear your driveway with a loader vs. a blade? I know the blade is faster, but the loader would have a lot of other uses at other times.

I have the same question. My 318 can push a lot of snow with a blade. When I upgrade to the 2210 or BX I wonder how the loader will do for snow or should I get a blade. Thought maybe a loader and back blade for snow?
