If you are willing to look at Kioti, I would suggest TYM as an upgraded alternate. Was quite impressed by the machines and pricepoint...

TYM is another brand of tractor. It's Korean and they appear to be in the same league as Kioti quality-wise. I haven't seen any in person.

Hi Z,
Thank you for definition. Just got back from a great trail ride and actually rode my 3 year old filly for the first time; which was wonderful. I made sure I got pictures so my guys would believe me. GRIN... My friends still need to email the pictures to me. Anyways sure is looking like fall here, but I can due without the 88 degree days that have popped in on us. I'll be intouch later; on my way to Florida Tuesday and since I was away playing I have some catching up to do.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Hi GUys,
At this point I am thinking to give up on the round bales and buy some more hay feeders to throw the extra hay out in the winter. So in saying that, I found a used Kubota L3130 hst, ag tires loaded, loader, and 130 hours. It was used by on older gentleman that is moving back to the city. I can get it for 16000 and can be delivered. I would like to believe the dealer is being up front about everything. I was thinking of paying 150 dollar to have them go over it in detail before buying it out right. The dealer said it was really clean and was well taken care of; I still need to go see it. I don't think there is any warranty involved either.
I did get a pricing for the L3240 which replaced the 3130 from what I've been told for 19,300 w/ag tires filled, LA 724 and warranty.
So I could save 3 grand and get attachments, and extra hay feeders. Oh I guess I would be saving more then that, because I would technically be buying it from a private owner and no tax so maybe add another 1000 to the savings to make it 4K.
Also it may be rumor I don't know for sure, but would the hst on the 3240 be improved over the 3130? I"m a little hung up on the warranty thing too.

Ah, decisions, decisions!!

Stackin' Bales

Me I'm into square bales...more labor involved but your equipment demands are down sized...:D

And better utilization of barn storage space...I can put my bales on the second floor with a hay elevator...:D

He hasn't quite said, " we should have done this 4 years ago", but that's okay I can tell he's happy. I guess I kinda forgot how to get pictures on here at a normal size, but am working on it.....I'll figure it. Oh, I see its there! Don't go if you have dial up the darn pictures is tooo big. I'll try and resize it.

Yes, it really beautiful now up here, rolling hills with all the color. I don't think we have peak yet, but probably by the end of the week we will.

Yeah, really nice looking.
I've always liked the way those Massey's look. They are so proportional and robust in appearance. What other implements did you get with it?
I like that picture too, it's great. Do you think you can get a bigger grin on your face?:)

Appy: I'm also here in Michigan (Brighton). You might now consider getting your own hay equipment to have enough for yourselves and boarders. The 2 of you can easily put up enough hay for your ponies and extras. The time to start planning this is now, before you set up pasture areas. If you can rent or borrow a mower, rake and baler for a season, you'll never buy someone elses hay again. I'd even be willing to show you how its done with a "small" tractor. ALso, watch for the Budweiser Team to be coming to Howell Nov. 23rd for a parade thru downtown. Either stop in or I can help you get it done next June/July. Best for your horses and even better for your wallet.

I received a 5' bush hog in the deal.
I need to get my camera going as it was my SIL taking the pics. Yep, my grin was pretty big, good thing we have ears:D

I don't have enough land to take on haying and it would also take up more time away from my horses as well. Just need a back blade, spear, and a drag to complete what I need. I know of some auctions going on and am familiar with pricing so maybe I can find a deal some where.
I plan on improving my small pastures now that I have a tractor and in doing that I can lower my hay needs.
I don't boarder other horses as I am a small breeder of foundation appaloosas and I like my own rules! :)

So far I'm pretty happy with the power shuttle:) It's a tractor and doing the hard work I need it to do at a much, much greater speed!! Definitely knocks alot of time off the chores. I only have a couple of stall for emergency or what ever; so my horses are outside where they are most happy.
