My tractor has been greased religiously since new but I have never been able to locate a Zerk for the loader lever.

Anyone have a picture of where the thing is actually located? I know it needs it because it is getting a little stiff with a load in the bucket.

Thanks for any input

Wasn't aware of there being one! Can you find it in the owners manual?

There isn't a grease fitting for the loader control arm. Get a can of white lithium grease, remove the boot at the base of the loader control arm and spray the linkage down.

There is no boot; just 4 small bolts where the bottom of the lever goes to the valve actuator. There doesn't seem to be any place exposed where any lubricant will make any difference.

I will have to investigate some more.

I wouldn't think it would be any difference at the lever if the bucket is loaded or empty. If it is then doesn't sound like lube at lever problem to me.

John, I think part of what you are saying is true. It feels more like the pressure to start to open the valve is greater.

I am just not happy with the little bit of play that is in the lever itself, all the bolts are tight though.

A little penetrating oil would not hurt on the pivots from time to time depending on the amount of use.

Yeah, I squirt oil in there on my B2920 -- there are no grease fittings.

Stay away from the lithium greases. In that environment it'll just attract dirt and make the problem worse. Use some Penetrol 90 on the linkages, it will last longer than wd40 or PB blaster.

I will give the penetrating oil a try.

Thanks!
