Picked up a regular in my cab at closing time. Normally we would beep the horn and they would stumble out, 85 cents, no tip.

On this occasion the bar tender came out and waved me in......I figured I'd have to carry the guy and hope he doesn't vomit on me or worse....yes, it can always get worse.

The guy is sitting at the bar with a couple friends. He tried to swallow a fish hook on a bet and it was lodged in his throat.

He was croaking like Kermit!

I had to take him to emergency room. No $ and a PITA. The hospital
wanted me to stay with the guy........nope.

A few years after 9/11, I saw a t-shirt proclaiming, "9/11/2002 We will never forget."

I don't know whether it was a bad joke or ignorance, and I'm not sure which would be worse.
