TSC has the cage type traps. Not sure if they are currently on sale or not, but ours had a bunch of them.

I relocated a ground hog last year for a friend. Easy. Just toss a blanket over the trap when you move it and the ground hog will calm down.

I've seen many dogs kill groundhogs, never knew one that got killed by a groundhog. The beagle we had when I was young would tear them apart. My shepherd enjoys killing them, it's almost a game. Here's a pic of one she killed. When this picture was taken, she had already shaken it pretty good, and it's back legs were injured to where it couldn't run off.

Dog Fights Groundhog - YouTube Go the video about the pet named Kirby. I have seen One Pitbull take and kill a large wild hog in Florida. This Pitbull belonged to John, a friend of mine, and we were hunting on Palmer Ranch.

Is this your dog? Do you have a pittbull? Videos are nice. Experience is a bit better.

Find the hole and connect the exhaust pipe of your tractor to it, Then look for the other hole, plug it up.
Now your done.

No sir. They are not my videos. I found them on You tube to provide you with some insight in regards that dogs can and do kill groundhogs. I don't even own a camera to post pictures here on TBN, much less make videos. In regards to my experience, the answer is YES. We were raised "DIRT POOR". We had to rely on game to supplement our Family's food sources. We raised all our food. The only things that we had to buy was flour, sugar and milk. We only had beef cattle. Have you ever eaten groundhog or possum? Well, I have. If you ever decide to eat possum, just make sure that you feed it shelled corn for a couple of weeks beforehand. The meat will still be greasy, but not quite as much. Why are you so arrogant? Other members have posted that their dogs have killed groundhounds. I speak from EXPERIENCE.

We grew up rather poor also..I have eaten my share of frogs, rabbits squirell's , and yes groundhogs. Groundhog is not all that bad really. But I have never eaten a possum. I saw one crawl out of a dead horse carcass once, and NO. no way am I going to eat one of those things. A ground hog eats clover, alfalfa, and garden veggies if he can get them:). Just like a cow. But a possum.. well he eats anything.

Yes, I agree. Possums will eat most anything. Armadillos and Carp are in the same category, somewhat. I have eaten those also when growing up. Like the old saying, "You do what you have to do". The only thing that I found really repulsive were turtle eggs. They are about the size of marbles. My Father and Brothers would scramble them in a cast iron skillet and eat them with pickled pigs feet. Some people may disagree, but I love "Mountain Oysters" and "Beef Tongue".BTW, we used to go frog gigging all the time. My Wife won't eat them, because the frog legs move in the hot cast iron pan when frying. My Wife saids that she won't eat them because they "Jump Around".

U should shoot the ground hog for a humane kill and not let your dog "play" with it.

Squirrels will also scavenge a carcass, when I was about 10 I kicked the back of an old long dead horse, about 20 squirrels ran out of the belly cavity. That ended my squirrel eating abruptly!
