I'd be willing to bet a M59 Kubota TLB with a full cab will push $50K. An outdated L-48 new is now over $40,000. Add all the extra power, size and a cab and $50K will be a distinct possibility.

Add $5,000 for a cab. Now you're at $52,000. You can get a brand new full size Terex with cab, 4x4, 7K FEL lift, 19' BH dig depth for $57,000 or a low hour demo big name for $55,000.

I love Kubota and I really want an M6800, but with the small backhoes, you actually pay a lot more per HP or digging ability for their smaller size.

I think it's just a matter of time before they have a 75-100HP BH available

I also think....how big is too big? I don't imagine needing a machine bigger than my L48 driving in tight spaces, around homes, atop septic, ect. Also, 84" buckets or any implements for that matter are tough to transport unless you have a deck over trailer. I think the M59/ L48 is as big as you can practically get. My L48 spins a 6' bush hog something fierce, I have a 7', but too big to carry around to each job. The more HP the better for sure, but there is a diminishing return at some point where you just do not need it. Anyone out there with an L48 who has ever needed more HP? Maybe mowing up a steep hill with heavy brush, that so far is it for me.

I too saw the Brochure at a local Kubota dealer a few days ago..we have an L48 and in the summer when the M59 comes out..we will be getting on for sure..according to the brochure they will have a bunch of new stuff that will make the kubota an even better tractor then already is..

HST Plus sounds nice, have not tried it....but seems to be things either I do not need or is not worth the increased price. The only thing I would like about it on the L48/M59 is the dual range HST, but at what price. I did not see factory cab on brochure and doubt they will offer one. For one, what about the 4pt hoe mount and dismount area. Fitting cabs with removable hoes is an imperfect application. It is 30 degrees this morning where I am. Do I want a cab on my L48 this morning,......yes, but I also have to take my hoe off.

Did not see the hyd. set up on the brochure, but hopefully they are not as expsoed as the L39 just waiting for a rock or stump to tear the lines to junk under the HST peddle.
