That's right.
There's no sense getting into a situation where protecting yourself could lead to some devastating court fiasco. You never know what's going to happen in the "Kookoo" court systems anymore. I hate to say it, or even recommend it, but they've turned some basic common sense situations into having to take ridiculous measures for "politically correct" and other reasons.

Having spent last week as a juror in a federal trial, I can agree.
