Correct. I'm saying most people at our shows are NOT dealers. Not fighting with ya.

No problems. Seems the last few shows I have attended most of the volume of guns are by dealers --- may be more individuals at the shows but they seem to have less inventory for sale.

Good to hear you found your lever action Buppies.

Have the stiches healed, or are you planning on trick shooting from the hip for now ?

Stitches are out but sore pretty long cut. Snow today and cold so no shooting today

Sounds like it could still be a while before you go raising that new stock to your cheek.

We don't see many lever actions in the UK, though some are used in centre fire speed shooting competitions.
Hunting here is dominated by bolt actions.

Eric they lever action were something not really in my collection one Marlin 336 Zane Grey 30 30. I'm looking for something fun to shoot and this 44 popped up. Do not do much hunting just like to tinker and when I'm gone someone will have a nice collection. Not against hunting just got older and always cold now.

If I can find a 38/357 in a Henry then all that's left is 45/70 at least in lever actions, bolt actions and BARs pretty much covered. Made a list of what I wanted when I was 16 almost done

exactly.. it's cheaper than even an early show, and more fun even if only looking... plus you get some exercise walking around!

Five dollars for an hour or three of entertainment is not bad. Don't go expecting anything. Be surprised you find something you can use.

What does a movie cost, and what do you find there you can use? :)

I've got an older 1895 lever Marlin in 45/70 (I think late 70's or maybe 1980 is what I came up with?), anyway looks plane jane until you shoot it. Will cloverleaf 3 bullets all day long at 100yds if you do your part. 22" barrel, straight non checkered stock and a pleasure to carry and shoot. I'll take a pic later and post it.

Any chance of picture or two someday of your collection Buppies ?

I do have one under lever of sorts - a BSA International MKII. If you haven't seem one, it's a small calibre target evolution of what they used in that film "Zulu", the battle of Rorke's Drift.
Back in the 1960's they were one of the best .22LR target rifles in the world. I bought one second hand in the early '70s and shot it for 15 years before replacing it with an Anshutz.
A few years back a friend was selling his. It had been in his basement for too many years without oil or grease and on the outside looked like something you would only throw on the scrap heap.
On the inside was a different story and shot perfectly. I had the barrel cut down, threaded and cerakoted. Now I'm on with finishing the woodwork.

Cover the gamut 17 caliber up to 338 probably one half bolt action Winchester model 70, Remington model 700 adl and bdl, weatherby mark 5. Also browning a bolts and BAR Safari grade with a ruger or two. More guns than I care to count. Some older shot guns as well 41, 12Ga 20 Ga 28 Ga and 410. Remington model 48 up to Ruger over and under 20Ga. More than half never been shot and for me to admire. Not much on taking pictures though

That sounds like a good gun and when you finish the wood I'm sure will be a thing of beauty

Not to mention, it is a great way to catch up with old friends. I always see someone I know.
