With all of the highway traffic cameras and store cameras, you'd think the cops could track this guy back to at least a general area. Then do a registration check on all the vehicles of his type in that area.

With all the data collected and stored these days, I'm sure the police have a treasure trove of info they can sift through.

In the original story it was said the white bearded guy was a known machinery thief. Im confused.
