Yes they glued my incision and I have had no trouble with it. I was getting severe headaches that would last for 2-4 days along with the arm pain and numbness. I now have no headaches nor arm pain and the numbness is receding.
An odd thing did occur after the surgery, I got an inflammation in my right Achilles Tendon. I had not injured it and was perplexed of how this happened. Watching TV the other night an ad came on, an attorneys office was telling about reaction to certain antibiotics causing inflammation of tendons particularly the Achilles Tendon. The Dr. had given me an antibiotic intravenously after the surgery. Evidently I was one of the recipients that had a reaction. I was lucky that I only received the one dose and was not on a prescription that would have kept the inflammation going. I iced it down, took some Tylenol and stayed off of it for a few days and now I am back to normal (as I can be). So if any of you take an antibiotic and develop inflammation in your tendons, stop taking it and contact your Doctor.
Dan, I could see the mechanical whistle as an disadvantage. If she placed it where she was going to place the bell, it would be much harder to place the blame on the dog for strange odors in the house. Fluffy would no longer be the fall-guy, then I would be the recipient of the "LOOK". You know, the kind that will make wall paper peel, how women can do this is an international mystery.
