Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

This is a lower price hitch vise solution. Buy or build. I have a cheap well-made vise from a yard sale mounted on an insert with plate welded on.

Ordered a HF 13 inch trenching bucket. Going to modify it to fit on the Ford 550. HF has a sale on right now with a 25% off coupon on many items for a couple days.

It may get destroyed after some use- but maybe not, will have to cut off the HF mounts and weld on some steel to put the pins through to fit the Ford linkage.

I take a screen shot of ot. Much easier to find than trying to find the email.
If you have the HF app, you can add coupons to a shopping cart tab, then scroll through them at the checkout for them to scan.

I’d save your money and put it towards finding the right bucket or at least a bucket of the right duty. That bucket won’t last for 20 scoops on a full size backhoe.

I looked for a while locally, but didn't find any Ford style buckets. Only going to use for trenching and No rocks here- just getting through the top soil and then silty clay.
Already paid for and on its way.

It does only weigh a hundred pounds. Do have some extra 3/8 steel plate maybe reinforce it some.

I promise not to use it on any pine stumps.

Will keep looking for a narrow Ford bucket.

If it gets totally ruined in 20 scoops, will make sure I have fun doing it :)

My SAE flex head ratcheting wrench set has disappeared. I'm sure I just left it some where while I was working on something, but it's been a few weeks with no sign of it. I'm sure the best way to make it show up again is to buy a replacement, so I'm in the market.

My old set was a Gearwrench. It seemed to hold up well for me. Wondering what the relative quality levels are of Gearwrench, Klutch, and Quinn. Does anyone have experience in these brands? (I like Icon tools, but don't see much in flex heads for that line.)

If you get a chance, check out the Torque Test Channel and their test of the Chief die grinder, vey impressive and I have one. Have the 4.5 angle grinder too and the needle scaler. Excellent tools, reasonable cost.

If that bucket really only weighs 99 pounds, it must be made from soup can metal. Run away!!!

Check this video out. Gearwrench rates high if I remember correctly. I really like their tools.
