Has there ever been a TBN calender?

Before you give up on the idea, it would be prudent to try to get the permission that is required first. All it would take is a letter to the tractor manufacturers... the worse that can happen is they turn you down.... the best, they give permission. I have a friend that sent a letter to Chevrolet asking permission to reproduce the Chevrolet logo on some parts that he was thinking of reproducing, and they gave him permission without any financial strings attached. As my old college professor once said..... "Ask a lot..... get a little." Asking is free, besides it is good PR for the companies. After all, we are there customers. All it will take is for one company to say yes and then all the others will fall in line or there product will be left off that years calander...... I can see it now..... All Kubota and Kioti tractors... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Can Muhammad get in trouble by us posting our pics in his "for profit project" (Ie. TBN)?

I just want to know if the tractors are going to be NAKED

The lovely Mrs_Bob is always accusing me of looking at tractor **** on the internet.

I'm pretty sure I could get permission from JD, Kubota, NH, Agco and Kioti to reprint photos in a calendar. If one of them refused, we'd just use other tractor photos.

As for quantity, we would need to sell about 300 @ $10 to cover printing costs. Or, 200 @ $15.

No---we're not selling photos.

Also, the issue is with the trademarked logos, not the actual equipment itself. You could edit out the name and logo on the tractor and reproduce it without any infringement.

Can we get 200-300 people to commit? If we pre-bought we could lock it in. What do people think? Good idea or not? It seems Muhammad has done his part and looked into it.

Not to beat a dead horse, but when it comes to the cars, the entire image of the vehicle is copyright protected. I would assume that the tractor manufacturers do the same. I don't know how some of the car calender manufacturers get around this or the Big 3 just ignore it, but I can say that they do get mighty upset when they come after you for copyright violations. Possibly one of the TBN members that is involved with the legal profession could further explain or investigate this aspect.
