Any ideas on how to haul say an 8 foot tandem disc (no wheels)? Can it be done upside down and sideways in a truck bed or are they too long for that? I don't have a really big flatbed trailer. All I have is a 4x8 tilt bed and a 12' enclosed stock trailer.

I've seen some pretty good deals on used discs but they always seem to be 150 miles away.

I would rent a trailer for a day.

I don't think I would haul such a thing in the bed of my truck unless said bed was already pretty scratched and beat up and I didn't mind a few more.
A 14' or 16' flat bed trailer would probably be best. However, hauling one several hours may also do some work on the trailer. Keep that in mind if renting one.
