( I don't need it for mice, I have a JR for that, he gets them quick and has fun doing it...Along with the occasional wabbit! or gopher rat... and so on. Just have to keep up his shots.... )

My wife has two Jack Russels; the male is a bit on the dim side but the female is a hunting and killing machine! She has killed countless rats, mice, moles, snakes, rabbits, squirrels, blue jays; once she killed a possum bigger than she is. She knows both the words "rat" and "squirrel". The only downside is, anything that breathes that she can catch is a varmint and a goner - including (but not limited to) chickens and other livestock. Have to keep the dogs fenced at all times.

Pete an't they a blast to watch??? JJ is 10 and on the top end of almost to big to be a JR but WE wouldn't know what to do with out him... But yep he goes after most any thing... We have had him around pig ME goats and he was enthralled by them...

He is also the one main reason I do not carry a weapon on the tractor. I have to watch I don't hit him as it is if he locks on to something and darts in front of me.... My wife would shoot me if accedentilly hit him........ /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif much as I have threatend to on occasion... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif With some of his um distructive efforts... I still may look into toten a shot gun just because of stray/ coy dogs and other varmits... While I would only us if I felt threatend. It can be a handy thing to have when you have no where to run..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I am thinking about getting a Winchester 9410 since I am aWinchester lever action collector. There are gun racks that mount to the roof of your vehicle that could be put under the canopy. I am more concerned about rabid skunks than anything else on my property

Our dog Annie just loves it when I brush hog. Any mouse that even thinks of showing its face is history. She grabs them and chews on them till death and then follows me again to find more.

Mine too.

They are fun to watch - "Scout" will catch a rodent with one pounce, shake her head once to break its neck, then immediately drop it and start looking for the next one.

texbaylea, gun rack would probaly work but most are open to the top. which would drop the gun on my head. Not that it would hurt if you believe the wife... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Winchester 9410 looks nice. I thought maybe it was like the one in T2 before I searched for it.... do you know what he was carrying in T2 or was that just hollywood?

The rack I have in mind has latches or retainers. Comes in 1 or 2 gun styles and the guns lie flat against the roof. I believe that I last saw them in Cabella's.

I think T2 was just Holllywood.
