No breakage. Underarmor is used when in the woods (most of the time). BX2660

My BX23 is a 2004 and never broke anything. I leave the MMM on all the time, even BH and FEL work--Never an issue. No real reason to run it in the woods, have other stuff for that.

No. I have only had mine for a year.

First, good idea for a thread John. Maybe this will break the myth that the BX has a vulnerable hydro fan. No I have not broke the fan. I do not have any added protection for it. I also leave my MMM on a fair amount of the time because the BX has pretty good ground clearance with it on it unlike other SCUT's. It looks like to me it would be pretty hard to break on the newer BX's with the fan protector. People should also say how many hours they have on their BX. I have 177 hours.

Yes. Will be installing new one on my BX23 this weekend and the bxpanded under armor plate right after that.

No. Have had a BX since 2008, but I put the Bro-Tek skid plate on right after I bought it. I run in the woods quite a bit and feel it very likely it would have broken by now without a skid plate. I also modified my B-T skid plat by adding a vertical piece of steel to the leading edge. Welded a nut on the backside of the plate so I can just bolt/unbolt the vertical plate without the need to put a wrench on the backside, which would be near impossible. See pic.

I've seen the posts recently where new BX owners wonder how a stick could get to the fan. It does seem buried up under the tractor, but any stick coming up under the tractor would get funneled toward the fan in my opinion. My BX25 come with the new Kubota skid plate, but I removed it to install the B-T armor which I moved over from my old BX1860.

No, but I did damage the hydro filter doing some dirt work years ago. I got a Bxpanded skid plate for over a year now
