Got to say I love my EA Wicked Grapple..... I can tear roofs off sheds, move concrete, pick up a pipe....
LOOK at that pipe 24" diameter X 80" long X 1/2" wall. I figure pipe weighs a minimum of 935 pounds.

Which of the EA grapples (which length/model) is it?

Disregard... you have a video of it, 72"... PS: What the ****'s that red thing with Mahindra written on it? The thing with the radiator chocker block full of hay? LOL

Thanks

I think you’d need the biggest one they make for 125 hp tractors. The second biggest one is rated for a 7,000 pound machine and a 2500 pound lift. The M62 is a good bit more of both. I put a Favor grapple on my M59. It’s the only other manufacturer that I’m aware of that offers high tensile steel. IMG_7688.JPGIMG_7777.JPG

Resist the urge to buy a big huge grapple. I’ve ran a skid steer a fair amount with a huge 84” and ridiculous tall lids grapple. I hated that thing and put a 60” grapple on mine. I was going to put an even smaller one on it but the 60” was already built and I was going to have to wait weeks for the other one. This was the grapple I had on a 95 Kubota CTL. Why they offer such a grapple with a SSQA is beyond me. IMG_7805.JPG

, any issues with running that auger on the front hydraulics, I was under the assumption from the Messicks video's that it was good for a grapple but not so much something high flow demand? If you've answered in this long thread, please ignore, I've just started reading.

You do not need a fast auger for fence posts. I run my Danuser hydraulic auger on 14 GPM and get about 1 revolution per second. That is plenty for digging. It could be faster when spinning off the soil after pulling the auger out of the hole, but shaking the auger can do that if the soil sticks to the auger. Dry soils are not usually a problem. Your revolutions per second will depend on the auger selected.

The Kubota TLBs are real Swiss Army knives, and built like a tank. Incredibly handy and very precise controls.

I will say that our M59 is a bit of a fuel hog, although I don't begrudge its thirst. I know that big heavy HSTs always use more fuel, and in addition the M59 has an oversize hydraulic system - in fact. it has several of them. It can't help but use more fuel to constantly pumping that much fluid around. The upside is that it never lacks for power.

Maybe the M62 will be more economical on fuel. The M59 isn't all that bad on fuel consumption, it just isn't as economical as our old style manual gear shifting tractor with its single smallish hydraulic pump.

Yes they are a swiss army knife. I believe I used that phrase long ago.

When I mentioned the fuel it wasnt about the usage it was that I dont have enough fuel to do everything I want to do. You know like not having enough money.

I'm in love....... my M62 is being prepped for delivery and should be arriving any time... I have a ton of fence posts to put in on my property, any issues with running that auger on the front hydraulics, I was under the assumption from the Messicks video's that it was good for a grapple but not so much something high flow demand? Ran a hyd auger on mine with no issues. As mentioned plumbed right into 3rd function. Worked great.

HAHAHA. Im tickled.

My opinion is that it can run anything that is low flow on the 3rd function, remotes, and the hydraulic thumb remotes. Of course the implement would have to function at the 16gpm mark or less.
I want a auger for the backhoe !!!!
Also the local rental has a small post driver that does 3 inch post or less in diameter. Hooks to a skid steer. Is low flow, but the claim it will work on my M62. I believe them it is a Kubota equipment rental under same name as dealer.
Messicks has good info, but all the info is geared into selling and making someone purchase equipment. IM not saying he doesnt know what he is talking about, but I am saying at the end of the day their goal is SALE, SALE, SALE.

Good seeing new members on here. Im on here more in the winter when it is to cold out or in the summer when it is to hot out.

I can tell you a lot about the 5.9 Dodges.
My 2007 Dually. The one you see in the pictures is the last of the 5.9. It has approx 270,xxx miles on it. No problems till now. Just going through oil. Bout a quart a month. I just havent hunted down the leak yet. Been busy.
I did have to rebuild the front end. Did it myself. I spent $2k in parts. I developed the DEATH WOBBLE. It scared me like you wouldnt believe. I have slid around a clover leaf covered in ice while driving a 18wheeler loaded to the gills with beer and it didnt scare me now where near like that wobble did. No accident in either situation.
My wife has a 2004 Dodge 2wd 3/4ton. I bought as a back up vehicle. She loves it. Has 489,xxx miles and still going strong. It does go through a quart of oil bout every 3-4 weeks. I havent got under it yet to see if it is a leak or using it. Either way a quart of oil a month is still cheaper than a truck payment.
