I have a 3320 that I would like to put a hay grapple on this spring, but I dont have hydro lines on the loader. I do have rear srv, can I hook onto that with lines and just run them to the loader? also has anyone used a hay grapple on that small of a machine? I know most guys use larger machines for hay so I havnt seen anyone online using one. Am I far off on thinking I can do this?

What? Like an grapple for 8 square bales?

Don't see why you couldn't handle something like Out-Front's grapple

Out-Front Hay Accumulator

Your 3320 is heavy enough, but to be extra careful hang ballast on the 3pt hitch or fill the rear tires or both.

No problem running hyd hoses from your rear remotes to the ends of the FEL arms. I would use something larger than 1/4 inch hose.

You probably should get a skid steer compatible quick attach plate for your FEL to handle the grapple.

JD has a "kit" to do exactly what you want. It includes hose that run from the rear to the mid point where there is a new bracket installed, then hoses and steel lines that run up the loader mast to the front.

What kind of bales are you talking about? And what is the weight of this grapple?

Yea. i saw that, but its a bit pricy, I just want it done right too tho. The attachments weigh like 500lbs I plus the bales. I dont think it will have any trouble lifting it. I picked up the back end of my truck before.:D

Call your local hydraulics store and price 40' of 1/4" hose, and 2 set's of QD's, then add in your time and a BUNCH of zip ties...

I think after you compare the prices for the homemade kit versus the JD kit that includes all the fittings, brackets, hardware, hoses and lines you'll find the price really isn't bad.

I handle round bales with a 790 with a spear and no troubles. I would think a handler would be about the same except maybe a little heavier. My spear with quick attach frame weighs about 200 lbs.

Hey Kenny,

Do you know if there's a kit like that for the 400x loader??

Yes, there is, see picture below...There is one also for the 300CX (see picture), but at least one member made it fit his 300X with little trouble.

Thanks Ken, that'll be great for whenever I do get my act together and make all these changes I'm planning.

Do you know if the PB port is under the right fender on the 4x20's, as they are on the 2x20's???

Didn't even think to look there. I did actually use it just yesterday when one of my sway arms broke on my 3pt hitch, it's pretty handy.

I do not know what a "Hay Grapple" is but I have used my grapple to move the 800 lb. squares with no problem. I did have a problem when I sold some of the hay that i had stacked 3 high in my barn. You have to be careful how you grab the bales or you will be popping the twine. I am going to get a set of forks to move the bales with this summer.
