Thanks for all the great pictures, brings back memories of when I used to drive the "train", a New Holland 5600, with a square bailer that had a kicker on the back and a hay wagon behind that. Was alot of fun for me, but for my brother who rode in the hay wagon and stacked the bales. The kicker had a movable output spout, so if my brother was giving me any lip...... I could shoot a bale at him :D aah what great memories:thumbsup:

Seems like not that long ago we were bailing as well. We are kind of a low tech operation but we get by.

Dan

Looks like a nice outfit. I owned a IH46 baler and a NH68. I upgraded to the NH315 and sold the IH. It is still making hay for the gentlemen I sold it to.

The Montana looks like it can handle the round baler and disc mower pretty good. Do you like your Frontier Disc Mower?

Yes the Montana Does handle them well .... no hills all flat ground in real thick Bermuda I do have to shift down.

The Frontier has been a good machine. Since I purchased the Branson 5530C I have moved the baler to that (55HP) and I am looking for my second cutter, If I can get another good buy on a Frontier thats what I want.

This coming year we are adding square bales to the hay deal.

A couple crappy cell phone pics of haying this summer here in NH. I spent many, many hours on the MF 135 pulling the tedder and rake. The 1100 has the baling chores. Nothing better than haying with a great veiw all summer long !

I never had used a kicker, it would of been handy at times. I know if i got lippy with the baler driver they would usally make sure to pop the clutch. :D
It is definitely a good way to learn about hard work and team work. A shade tree and cold water never tasted so good!

It was a bank repo with 280 hrs, now has about 410 hrs. At this point I really enjoy it ... I like the extra HP and really like the console control panel with the "one touch" hyd's as well, all the controls are at your finger tips on the right hand side. Nice machine. A better a/c than the Montana.

Beautiful country! Looks like a lot bales stacked there.
It sometimes takes a snow to motivate some in our area that that may want to buy some hay. First snow and I get 2 calls form new customers. All hay looks good when the ground is white and temps are in the single digits.:D

Thanks for posting the pics!

Nice 1855's. Looks like they have the fender tanks. We see that style in my area only it is Oliver green. The Vermeer still makes a pretty good looking bale.

Nice tractor. I looked at a Branson. We have a good Branson dealer in the state but he is 3hrs hrs away and the Kioti dealer was only 7 miles away. My JD 4430 has console controls and they are handy.

Same tractors, cockshutt is canadian build, oliver is US build.Yes, saddle tanks,50 gal all 3 full, one can cut or bale a 1/4 section with fuel to spare.

That vermeer has so many mods, even vermeer himself wouldn't recognise it:D

Man it's 18 degrees here, that made me a little warmer. Remembering cutting, raking, baling, and don't forget stacking in someones loft that they didn't tell you about. I would get so mad at my folks when they would send us boys out to put 300 square bales in somebodies barn, get there and they want it in the loft. But I wouldn't trade it for anything now. But I sure did like selling rounds right out of the field.

First snow of the year and I can't wait till it starts getting green again.

Anybody that's cold, just think about picking up all these bales.

After that weekend the crew said they would quit if I didn't find another way. so off to the shop I went. Little bit of angle, some sheet metal and a few nuts and bolts--no more picking bales up off the ground.

A few from a job we did.
about 30 acres through 7 fields, 1300 bales. Ran 4 wagons 2 unloaded while 2 baled.
1 guy raked ahead of the baler then helped to unload.
