Headlight Wiring Harness JD 4052R

I'm trying to chane my battery now. How frustrating! Worst Design EVER!
The side panels have been removed. The front grille has been unfastened, but cannot be removed untill the Headlights are disconnected.

I cannot uncouple the headlight wiring harness. Is there some magic tric to this task? I am about ready to grab the wire cutters.

Think just a half twist will unlock the light bulb from the light.

That shows one of the worklights. Headlights are built into the grill and everything supposedly separates via wiring harness some distance from the lights themselves.
