We're having some true August days here. Hot in the day but cooling off nicely at night. This weekend I'm taking the AC out of the window, a fan will suffice to cool it down at night.

Local weather just forecasted temps up to 100 degrees and heat index up to 120 degrees today. Lets see how high we can get....

It's been beautiful here in East Central Illinois for the past 2 weeks. Highs around 80, lows in the high 50s or low 60s. Can't ask for much better.

We’ve had the same temperatures here in Santa Fe county, NM with afternoon/evening thunderstorms weekly. We have been getting 1-2” of rain each week for the past month.

Here in East Texas, the count down is on for when it will end. Usually it's right around mid September, and then all of a sudden, the weather becomes really nice again. Until then, it's just a struggle to do anything after 3pm. Breathing can be a challenge, but just walking short distances can be overwhelming.

This is true. It's almost like it changes in a single day. Suddenly the sunlight and winds are different. I always love the fall.

For us the first indication that fall is coming is right around the first of August. There's just something different in the air that you can't put your finger on but you can feel it. Doesn't necessarily mean hot weather (or this year rain & humidity) is over, but it's getting there.
Fall's my favorite season too.

So Cal has been too hot, too dry, for too long. Averaging 100º every day for 2-3 months. I am always at this time of year ~ over it.

For us up north we had very nice summer, a few heat waves and fair amount of rain, we are at our third or forth heat waves although the first one was pretty short and welcomed, I don't think we got a day above 104F yet but we came close a few times, we had many days at 100/102F but our humidity is more often then not up there at 50 to 75% so it's very heavy, I remember hitting 80% in July with a modest temperture of 91F... They say that temperture and humidity combo ''feels like 108F '' regardless if true or not at that humidity index you will get fooled if you only go by the mercury level.

Local News is in panic mode over the temperatures. We're not breaking any records, they where all set back in the 1930's, and somehow everyone lived through those years without AC.
You would think that everyone is going to die if you go outside in the afternoon when you listen to the local weather guys. Everything is end of the world for them, and if it's isn't about their life or death warnings about the weather, it's about self congratulating themselves on doing such a great job of informing everyone that they are going to die if they go outside in the heat!!!!
Latest death warning is not to go outside. The temps will hit 100 degrees, but it will feel like 115 with the humidity. Stay indoors, bring your pets indoors, but don't use up all the electricity keeping your home cool.
I don't know how anybody can take the weather forecasters seriously.

we have the same a heat warning start at 80F and the frostbite warning at -31 F ... the weather has to get worse to fit the narrative, they are bought off... I much prefer watching the Mexican weather channel, I don't understand anything but holy its nice to watch, if you know what I mean

Heat is really getting up there lately. The national weather service has issued severe heat warnings for the past week or so. And again for at least tomorrow.

Our local forecast at the beginning of the day seems to understate the actual heat that happens during the day. Today was supposed to be a high of 92 and it was at least 98.
