Hello again....have a problem with loader control

A lot of you helped me last year with a back hoe problem concerning my L3710 with a cab. Thanks to this site I went ahead and bought a mini-excavator and couldn't be happier playing construction man with 2 pieces of equipment.

So today I'm transplanting some palm trees (If they make it; great!! If they don't, it cost me some fuel)

Anyway, while running the Loader on the Kubota, the stick had something obviously come loose or break. It wil still curl but not raise or lower....in other words, side to side works but not for and aft.

I will tear into it tomorrow but was hoping for any heads up from this unbelievably knowledgable group.

Start with the easy checks.

Shut the tractor down, lower the FEL and release all the pressure. Disconnect each coupling one at a time, wipe 'em off then reconnect them, making sure you get them fully seated.
Once they are all done give it try.

before messing with the lines check the attachment of the loader control to the shaft that leads to the valve- had this happen yesterday on my new 3030 with ten hours on it the attachment bolt had backed out of the block- while it would be backing out you have control, once it is out- no raise or lower.- super easy fix once you remove the guard.- all this assume the control is set up the same way - but it seems standard.- Good Luck

Thanks to both of you...........Pretty sure it's in the handle/controller, the fore and aft movemnet feels like it's not connected. Side to side is fine.

sounds like a control cable or the little ball and socket inside the joystick.

Ok, I took the rubber guard off.......Like stated, there's 3 balls and sockets........the forward ball/plunger is limp as can be, the right/rear works as advertised and the left/rear ball/plunger appears to be in a neutral position.

You guys think the problem is in the block where the plungers are....or somewhere else down the line??

Look at other end of valve where loose tie rod ends are. Probably water in the cap at that end.

It looks to me like the lines that exit this control enter the hydraulic block and from there the lines go to the cylinders.
No linkages or tie rods.........unless I'm retarded and missing something.

Nope. Just lacking knowledge. Your picture shows a remote control for the valve that is mounted where the hoses going to the FEL cylinders hook up. The lines running out of the block in your picture are cables that move valve spools. Unless you have water frozen in cables. I would still look at valve for where problem is. Loader valve is mounted outside of cab isn't it?

Yes, outside cab........you know I'm in Vegas? 60* and cloudy today plus the fact that it malfunctioned as I was using it yesterday.

I was trying to disassemble the block in the picture.....just broke a 5MM allen wrench. Farker is tight.

What's strange is I loosened the allen at the bottom of that control maybe a few turns....now the control is tight with NO movement side to side or up and down..Something had to come loose and jammed up inside that box????

You may have a problem in the remote. But I would think the problem is at the valve. There is another thread going on about float on a 7610. In it there is a link to this thread. Click Here

Dave and Rob @ Dave's Tractors have been incredibly patient with me all day while on the phone........as have all of you.

Here's what we/they think; you guys see how that front ball is waaay high? Thinking that cable went T/U. The 2 back balls control the curl no problem...that front control is limp as can be.

Next question.........any schematics on line on how to change that cable?

I've already busted 2 5mm allens trying to unscrew the allen at the bottom of that control.

FIXED!!! It couldn't have been any more simple!!! Those ball/plungers simply theard onto the cable coming in from underneath..........simply undo the 2 nuts holding the cable, shove cable into bottom of box, thread ball onto cable and tighten both nuts at bottom.....

Thanks..........and thanks for even taking the time to give advice!!

The bolt is fine, it was the allen wrench that fragged. First it just broke so I cut the wrench to be able to put it in a socket and use a ratchet........then it twisted, looking like a piece of licorice. (black twizzler!!)

Kinda glad that the housing DIDN'T come apart!!!

I'm thinking because the tractor is a cab model, it kinda threw everyone off. Went to all the rental joints yesterday and the ROPS Kubotas controllers were not even close to this set up.

Darn 19 year old kid looked at it and had it fixed in less than a minute!!!
