Looks like the 1 year old BX2660 MMM FEL with a bit over 60 hours (50 hour service recently completed) is going to be hunting a new home in a couple of weeks. I'll mow with it until my F3080 4wd 72" Rear discharge mowing deck arrives from the warehouse on the next shipment to Barlows. Also adding the 3PH Arms for the BX25 so I can pull the implements. Guess I'll have to start paying more attention to removing BH instructions now.
It seems my BX2660 keeps singing a song about Sweet Home West Virginia a lot recently and I know Barlows delivers to that area, don't they Randall?
No hats.:) They are out of hats.:( Looks like they've started giving my hats to you out of state buyers so I'm left out.

OK, you have told me before about buying that one and only tractor. so now I am really curious.

Were you using the BX 2660 mostly for mowing and decided that a zero-turn mower suited the need better? Assuming of course, that a man with other tractors can still do the tractor stuff and mow with something that was designed for just mowing?????????

Did Barlows take it in on trade???

Which one and which time? I think I've said that 8 times.

Were you using the BX 2660 mostly for mowing and
I was using the BX2660 for mostly mowing at home on hillside property. Had also bought a BX25 recently to go to level rental property but had not moved BX25 yet and ended up using BX25 more than BX2660 for tractor work at home.

decided that a zero-turn mower suited the need better? It's not a zero turn mower, it's a front deck mower. Yes, I have a F2680 2wd front deck mower for rental property and it's a fun and fast mower for level property. The F2680 won't mow some of my property at home because it's to steep thus needing a front deck mower with 4wd which is the F3080 (or F3680 for 6 more HP). To me, the front deck mower with a steering wheel and the fantastic seat and manuverability is the finest mowing machine made. It cost several thousand dollars more than a ZTR but to me it's worth it for the savings in steering wheel control, time savings, back savings and kidney savings. Now here is where the zero turn supporters chip in that the ZTR is faster than the F. In a blacktop parking lot, that may be true but mowing grass on land that's not perfectly smooth, it will never happen. The F will go as fast as a person can hold on to it and keep a Kidney. The F will fly and I don't cut parking lots. I don't get the F2680 out of the Rabbit speed because it will cut and go faster in Rabbit than I can hold on.

Assuming of course, that a man with other tractors can still do the tractor stuff and mow with something that was designed for just mowing?????????
I have to have a tractor for tractor stuff and I have a BX25. Have to. It's like a pickup truck. If you've never had one, don't get one because once you've ever had a truck you can't live with out one. The F can run some implements on the front but I will only use it for mowing.

Did Barlows take it in on trade???
Barlows did take my BX2660 60"MMM FEL in on trade. I think it has around 60 hours on it and I've done the 50 hour service already. He found some incentives, which he is great at doing. If they are there, he finds them. With the incentives it wiped out my lose of trading on a one year old machine.
He will be ready to sell it when my F3080 arrives or I'll let him have it now if he wants to sell it. I know he'll get my F3080 to me when it arrives.

I think we should start an over under for when you trade the new mower for the 36 horsepower version. I'm sure if you think about it for a little bit you will come up with some advantages of the bigger mower. The F series mowers look NICE!

Any suggestions before Steve places the order? Hurry! Why would I want or need the extra 6HP. tell it now. It's not that much more dollars so if there's a reason tell it now and save the next trade. But...what if I get the 36HP now and decide I only need the 30HP? There seems to be no way to beat this figureing it out with out doing it.:)
OK Got to go and call and see how much more for the 36HP.........
