Became a tractor owner finally last month. in late 2014 we bought a house on 11 acres with a 1/4 mile long 10 foot wide road. Knew I was going to need a tractor for road maintenance and snow removal.
Decided to get rid of the travel trailer that we never use, and ended up doing a straight trade for a 2001 Kubota L3010 with FEL and a heated cab. In addition to the tractor the trade included a new 5' Box blade, new 5' rotary tiller, a 5' landscape rake, 5' brush hog and a forklift attachment for the FEL. Tractor has 2,300 hours.
I feel I came out ahead in the deal.
So far I have refinished half the road that had enough material to dig up, and spread/compacted 35 yards of road material on the other section that was rutted down to the large stone base. 68" snowblower is getting picked up next week.
Getting so much use out of it. My wife said I invent reasons to use it. My response was "of course"!
Already learned a **** of a lot from searching/reading on the forums and look forward to learning more.
