Realistically, once that gets done, I will probably sell the BH.... Which by the way is one of the pluses about the Kubota because i do think that if I did go to sell an implement that it would sell quicker......
I do not know about the BH on the GC2310 but unfortunately the OEM BH that comes on the
Kubota BX22/23/24 models will not bolt on to the non-TLB BX's. The subframe on the BX TLB's is completely different than what comes on the non-tlb BX's and it completely replaces some of the std frame parts. You can't remove the subframe without replaceing it with a non-TLB subframe.
Kubota in it's infinite wisdom doesn't offer an OEM BH option for the std non-TLB BX's nor does it offer a retrofit kit either. Hense you would only be able to sell the BH to a BX TLB and since a BX TLB CANNOT be purchased w/o a BH, you'll probably have a very hard time finding a buyer for the BX BH.
Woods on the other hand does make a high quality BH and subframe kit for the non-TLB BX's and in some cases a std
BX2350 w/a Woods BH & FEL pkg will price out about the same as the OEM BX TLB. The
BX2350 is the same basic tractor as the
BX24, same basic frame, engine, HST, tins, wheels etc.
The
BX2230 is the same basic tractor as the
BX23 and the
BX2200 is the same basic machine as the
BX22.
I would suggest that a BH has quite a bit more usefulness than just digging. Add a hook to the bucket and it's an articulated cherry picker/hoist. Add a thumb and you can grasp heavy ackward loads, carry and deposit them where ever you want without ever leaving the seat (or breaking a sweat).
My BH is dismounted the vast majority of time but when it's needed it only takes a couple minutes to mount and it saves my back every time.
If Massey offers a BH retrofit kit for the GC2300 then that would be a plus for MF.
The JD folks are claiming that the new BH for the 2305 is backwards capatable to the 2210 so it may be an option also, albeit a more expensive option but an option all the same.
In any case, good luck and enjoy.
