HELP !!! Any Place For TC35D HST Parts ????

As the TC series,HST technology gets older, I would predict that the after market for these tractor parts will be become available at a reasonable price from ventursome tractor part companies. This hardly addresses the immediate need for a PTO shaft. A real need will always generate a market eventually,however. Small consolation.

also, forgot to ask. Did your tractor sit for an extended period? So the mouse could set up his home.

I don't have a machine shop. I meant "A competant machine shop.." The I got in there by mistake.

The shaft in question is fairly easy to make.

Thanx for the pics Jinman the leak is 4" puddle after you stop the tractor and it was sent to the dealer a week after i found it (spent a week trying to find it myself)

i hope you guys are right reguarding aftermarket parts but wow 8k if a o-ring goes bad ?????

people being treated like dirt while KYB has Barrels of shafts and other parts laying around is not a way to build consumer confidence.

NH has made their decision and so have I am leaning on biting the bullet and looking into kubota ( after i have a lengthy discussion with the parts people).

i have not talked to the deer dealer but if its true they sell all the HST parts thats a big plus.

if aftermarket does not pickup NH's slack resale for the "Scrounge it or Scrap it" tractor models will be terrible as people find out and want nothing to do with them.

so i guess im gettn while the gettn's GOOD

oh yea - the tractor usualy runs at least once a weak for small tasks.

Turns out a mouse got in and built a nest between the trans and HST and he pee corroded the lower pto shaft and ate into the seal area causing the leak... ( YES REALLLLLY )

Nemco, here's a radical thought. You and Gould37 have different shafts that have failed. His is the top shaft between the HST and engine and yours is the bottom shaft. Do you both wanna know how you can fix your transmissions for $4,000 instead of $8,000? Just buy one transmission between the two of you and take the parts you need. Take your old parts and the transmission's remaining parts and put them on sale on eBay or here on TBN. Everything you make from that sale will be split between the two of you and you'll recoup some of your money. Heck, you might be able to get the transmission back together with the help of a machine shop and sell it as a used one for $3000. Wouldn't that be a hoot?

See? I already saved you guys 50% each.

Great idea Jinman, but I'm sure thay want a "core" unit in return. Still $4K is half off sale.

The shaft can be repaired by a machine shop which specializes in build up spray molten metal weld. As stated before, the shaft is built up, by either tig welding, or spray welding. Then ground to spec.

I had a speciality very large bolt repaired by an expert tig welder. As I watched him repair it, I though this will never hold up to the extreme stresses that the 14' Industrial hoe hanging off my 3444. After turning bot broken ends down to almost a point, he began to tig, or maybe mig weld very small lines of weld, after welding the two tips together. He spent about 2 hours welding small beads, building up layer after layer. I though for sure that this will never hold. That was over 22 years ago, and the weld had never failed.

How about a few pictures so we can in our "expert" opinon have a peek at you shaft mouse pee damaged area. Or the dealer is holding it for an $8K ransom.

Ya know i was just thinking that this afternoon.. Thats funny.

Its a shame for the other fellow as my shaft is able to be fixed.

at this point i am having a real hard time with the idea of keeping the tc35 after the repair.

NH has left such a bad taste in my mouth with this situation i am just try'n to get out of this repair for $3000.00 or so and then cut and run..

even the dealer is exasperated by NH's Policy, what a shame. and these guys are all aces (boy do i wish they sold another tractor line).

i had talked to a gentlman the other night who worked with a place up by me that had been around for 30+ years and they did NH compact tractors for a short time and got out. the place turned orange now evidently because of the same type of ruthless policy by NH.

so its not just the customer its the dealers they are letting twist in the wind also..... not good....

started looking at the deere 4000 series specs gues what HST parts look to be available .

no again the dealer has been in my corner the whole time and i actually have the shaft.

shaft has been to the sprayweld and regular weld up guys and both do not want to put that much heat into a .985 dia shaft at .5 from the spline.

so the best fix we have come up with is to build up the corroded pitts with jb weld and use a speedy sleeve over this are to give the seal a new surface to ride on.

yes the sleeve will be installed after hst is reassembled.

thats it ... still not my first choice but a viable option.
