I always see alot of folks talking about "dozing" stumps or digging 'em out with a backhoe. This is alot of work in my mind.....especially for trails and food plots.
Around here we have alot of pine trees and pine stumps. They are quite soft woods and easy to grind. I rented a stump grinder and ground up over 400 stumps (from 12 to 15" diam or so) out of our trails and food plot. I ground this many over a three day period at a cost of $500. That works out to about $1,25 per stump......and you dont have allot of stumps to burn or bury either.
If you have pine stumps.....something to consider.
