Hello folks. First time poster. Long time lurker. *Edit - second time poster*
Back in the beginning of May I Put a down payment on a Husqvarna TS348XD. Dealer told me it would be in in 9 days… I still don’t have it. It is set to be about $3600.
I am fairly liquid right now and would like to spend $4k or less on a good used machine.
I have a 5 acre piece of property and about 2ish acres to mow. A lot of it is steep and around rocks/trees.
My wife is a big gardener and we burn wood, so ground engaging implements will probably be used (mostly a drag harrow and a Jackson yard card). It needs to mow well, be stable on off-camber hills, and be strong enough to tow wood/mulch/dirt. I would love a locking differential, but it’s not a deal killer. If someone told me that an open diff machine with wheel weights and ag tires will be a hill killer, I would look thereI currently have an old craftsman gt18 that *runs* but smokes like a banshee and really truly needs a rebuild. I also own a 1986 JD750 which is my right hand for “tractor stuff” but it’s a little tippy for my wife (she’ll be doing the mowing - she is a teacher) and it has a personality.
My father has a Kubota B5100E which is an absolute tank and I love it, but those are real money even used.
Thank you all!
