Tractor
2016 LS 6168 power shuttle
Hi everyone I need some HELP?
I apparently need a new throttle peddle WTF . The tractor will only run for a min or so and then die. I get the red triangle and it’s throwing codes like crazy.
I got a F18 the other day and codes for low fuel rail pressure , low fuel pressure .
I can get a new peddle for a G note from my dealer but I have to drive three hours away to get one .
I have three feet of snow to move and another three feet blizzard this weekend and I need the tractor running . Has Niobe run into this problem and if so what was the remedy. Do I actually need to buy a LS peddle or will one fit and work from another brand ? I also have changed out the fuel filter and put fresh fuel in it this past summer . I’m going to drain the fuel out and put some winter fuel into it and change the filter again.

I only have 212.5 hours on my tractor . It’s a 2016 LS XU6168 with shuttle shift .
Any help would be greatly appreciated thank

Tony

Sounds like the fuel is gelling. If that's the case I'd drain what you can of the fuel in the tank and add a few gallons or more of kerosene. A hair dryer directed at the fuel filter will melt the accumulated wax - which you can either drain or try to run as is.

Definitely sounds like a fuel gelling problem. Usually shows up first in the filter (cold filter plugging point) where the small wax particles will accumulate on the filter media. The fuel may still appear clear.
Definitely get that summer fuel out, or cut with kerosene and get it run through the system as @greenie describes.

Rather than draining, they make dejelling additives

As everyone has said it sounds like you are getting first person experience with gelled fuel. Go get some Power Serve, or Howes, anti gel additive for the tank. The fuel you get might not be better than what you remove. Plus the issue is the gelled fuel won't flow through any restrictions like the fuel line and fuel filter. You want Power Serve 911 like D and D suggested and then also regular Power Serve. I hope you can find both because both will work best. However if you are changing the fuel filter again you may get by with just the regular Power Serve.

Follow the instructions on the Power Serve website.

I've been using Power Service, and always double dose or more for winter.
What's happening to you now, been there, done that. Live and learn.
I'll be changing over to Hot Shot in the future.
If you can't get to the store, you can try cutting you diesel fuel with gasoline if you have some gas in a can.
The ratio is usually about a pint of gasoline to 10 gallons of diesel fuel.
You should research father before doing this based on your surrounding temperatures.

Apparently the throttle peddle is a problem and setting off trouble codes . I got a new petter today . I have the shuttle shift and they all work together . It was a G note for a new peddle . It must be a problem because the dealer had 13 peddles in stock. THAT tells me all I need to know . I have a filter and new belt and hope to have it fixed soon after I did out of the three feet of snow we just got lol. We are supposed to get another three feet this weekend . Yah me .

It would be nice to know why the peddle failed in hopes of preventing re-occurrence. Maybe its sensor can be cleaned? Possible warranty or recall issue? If they are gouging a G note for these, they should be very well built and not have failed.

Wow .. In 6 hours, you got a new throttle peddle installed (petter?) All while traveling 3 hours a to dealer and 3 hours back ?

It's a PEDAL. And you sure got one installed quickly. Suspiciously quickly. And what the hell is a G note? I have heard of a C note and use the term myself.

What is the PN of the throttle pedal?

Yesterday a very good friend of mine drive 1.5 hours to the closest dealer and picked up the parts I needed . I live 2 hours from him lol. It’s just a cluster F——— trying to get parts and a dealer to help. Anyways I’ll load my tractor onto my trailer after I take the bucket and arms off. I’ll haul it to his warm shop and find this thing.
There really must be a problem with these throttle peddles because they had 13 in 13 wow. $1300.00 later let’s hope I can get it running again . I’ll clear all the codes as well with my scanner .

Most of those pedals for Automobiles are in the $50 to $300 range. Why is that one so expensive? If your dealer has over ten in stock looks to be a regular problem failure part with so few hours on your tractor.
