Help Please...Frozen Bunny Waterer

I must've misspent my youth. I watched Captain Kangaroo in B&W.

What does this have to do with this thread? Simple, Captain Kangaroo had a Bunny Rabbit.

I never said anything about heaters...Now if animals like the ice so well,I guess there is no need for me to bust the ice in the creek for the cattle to drink from now on,my dogs will happily lick the ice in the water dish no need to change the water dish. How come when my rabbits water dishes are frozen and I put a dish of fresh water in that is not frozen, they run up to it and darn near drown themselves, because they cannot drink it fast enough ?
As for the wild animals in the woods, they go to a spring or a ripple in the creek where the water is moving and has not frozen. Just my 2 cents worth.....

Check a farm supply store. They sell low voltage heaters for bird baths. Maybe you could figure out some way to use one of those to keep the bottle warm

Eric,

I agree Eric, very, very hot water will freeze faster than very hot water. There is a narrow range of temperatures that will allow this to be true.

Yes, I remember the experiment and the professor used a bunsen burner to boil the water and then put it in trays then directly to the freezer. I would say @ 200 F.
