Help . with 3 point hitch on bx or b

   / Help . with 3 point hitch on bx or b #41
Implements are heavy so take your time hooking up the 3pt stuff, especially at first. Back up with the lower arms slightly lower than the pins on the implement, and as centered as you can get things. Loosen the turnbuckles to open the arms as wide as possible. Now try to get the fixed length side attached first. If the other side comes up, and hits the implement, lower only that side with the adjustment provided. (they vary) You may have to get back on the tractor a time, or two to line up that first side. OK, now attach that side, and install the retaining pin. Go to the adjustable side, and adjust it so the height is right. If it isn't lined up fore, and aft, get back on the tractor, and ease it ahead, or backwards to pivot the implement so the pin lines up. Once that side is installed the top link is a snap. Light implements can be moved around to line things up, but for those of us who don't want to get all worn out attaching things before the real "work" the way I suggested doesn't take much effort, or much more time.
