I had to replace the factory hydraulic tubes that lead to my rear remotes over the weekend. The problem that I need someone's help with is the hydraulic fitting on the end. It seems as though NH has applied some type of "glue" to these and for the life of me, I cannot get one of them to break free. I have tried heat and just pure force... Nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated!

Probably used some type of locktite sealant try and put fitting where vise grips are and wrench may double wrench it good luck and be careful.

I learned from experience that the regular pipe dope from the hardware store is only good to 250#. So, not having any, I used locktite red. It worked but it does require heat to soften it for removal. I would think that the OEM may have used something of like kind to prevent nuisance warranty leaks. So, even though you have a rubber seal in the coupler, I would say that you need more heat. You asked for help, that is what I would do.

I recently swapped a couple of connectors on my Branson FEL connections. The joints were hard to get loose, but did so without heat. Know not what they used for sealant and sitting here right now I don't even remember what color it was.

I would have cut the tube closer to the nut (you said you were replacing the tubing correct?) and then used an air impact to get it off, don't know now what you could do now with seeing those vise grips on there. That's usually not a good sign when I see vise grips marks in stuff I have to take apart.

How much heat did you try? Unless it is crossed or galled a good amount of heat should loosen any sealant.

With a little more heat, I was finally able to get it off. Thanks for everyone's help.
