Take PB fitting out and the plug you put in move it to the valve body where you took the PB fitting out. You are not using PB.

I noticed in the circular that the preset relief of the eaton valve is 2000 psi, while the tractor wants 1700 psi. Would this have any bearing on my issue?

If I understand what your previous post said you are recommending that I plumb things so that both the 3pt hitch and the FEL can be used concurrently....

Yes.

If your system calls for 1700 psi relief, adjust it down to that setting.

If you do it right, you will be able to use the FEL and the 3pt with out switching.

If the FEL is using all the fluid, there won't be any left for the 3pt. If you use only half for the FEL, then, you can use both the FEL and the 3pt at the same time.

Does your PB fitting look like the picture?

Not sure what you are asking. The picture is of my PB port.

I tried to hook up the new valve just like the old one was hooked up. I think I got all that right. THe only difference I could see between the old spool valve and the new one was the BYD port, which I dont have a use for at the moment. So I put a plug in it. The port marked OUT goes to the tank.

Maybe the plug in the BYD port is impeding the flow, or maybe there is a blockage that I havent discovered.

Let me ask this again, what is the fitting under the plug.

Did you receive the valve with PB installed? Did you just add a plug to the fitting?

NOw I understand your question! I will have to wait until tomorrow to answer that. I will photograph and send it.

There is a difference in a PB sleeve and a hex head plug. Looking at the picture of the valve, it looks like you added the PB sleeve and then you added a plug. You just made that valve a closed center valve, and it will block the fluid through the valve, and with your FEL valve levers in neutral, the pump fluid is flowing out the relief vlave, and squealing, if it doesn't blow up anything.

Just remove the hex plug and use the PB in the normal way. The PB hose goes to the next valve.

Take a pic of the hyd block also.

If you look at Roy's PDF, it will show the valve with an open center hex plug in the PB port.

A PB sleeve blocks off the galleries and allows the pump flow to flow downstream.

If you add the closed center plug, it is a solid plug that extends into the valve and closes or blocks the pump fluid. The only fluid that flows out a Closed center valve is the cyl expended fluid.

If you unscrew the fitting and remove the hex plug take a pic from the side of the fitting and through the fitting, then we will know for sure. See if you can get a pic inside the PB port

Looks like they sent you valve with power beyond sleeve installed. See the photo. Take that sleeve out and install the plug directly in the valve.

With power beyond installed and plugged off is same as closed center.

If you do that, you make the valve an open center valve, and total pump flow and cyl expended fluid flows back to the hyd block.

I say if you have PB to use it.

I can almost bet the manufacturer says to run or must run the out/return hose to tank.

Leave the relief in the Eaton valve @ 2000 psi, it will function as a secondary relief for the loader in case the primary 1700 relief sticks.

You could replumb the system to have both FEL function and 3 pt without changing the selector valve under the seat. Take the line currently running from pump to selector valve and run to inlet of the Eaton valve, come out of the Power Beyond sleeve run that line to the selector valve. Then leave the selector valve in 3 pt. all the time and both will function.
