Oil & Fuel Help with JD 855

Didnt mean for my comment to be useless.

Anyways as JD755 says the fuel filter bowl screw can be difficult to remove, I used adjustable pipe pliers and just turned gently remember you are only turning the aluminum casing not the clear bulb. Part # 7 on the attached.

Glad V8 provided the drawing. I thought I was providing the link to a different thread where I described things more fully. Meaning when laying on the ground and looking up you rotate the ring CCW like a standard thread. This link provided help, but did not provide the direction or what to turn.

Do yourself a favor and buy a operators manual. Take a little time a read it. Very helpful. fleabay has them at the ready

Always good to have the manual, but in the case of his two questions it is of little help. It says nothing about the second identical engine oil fill cap, and shows a side view of the fuel filter collar while instructing to turn it clockwise to remove.
