I suppose there is a limit to what a small company can do.
The kits are supposed to be exact fits, but they said they are not able to measure every model in person when designing kits. For some models, they rely on information from other people. I guess someone sent them wrong information when they were designing for the
L3710. My experience should be helpful to them if anyone else orders a kit for this 25-year-old tractor which is fading into obscurity.
Everything is working out fine. I'm just delayed a few days.
I was pretty annoyed when I saw that the hose was over 30" too short, because I sort of expected something like that to happen. I hadn't heard anything bad about this company. I just knew how the world worked.
Before this kit arrived, I saw videos in which people said adding remotes was a simple 30-minute job, and I immediately thought of all the other "simple 30-minute jobs" I had been through with other products. I figured this one would be no different, and sure enough, I was right. That was irritating. If this were the first product that had had an issue like that, it wouldn't have bugged me much, but after a whole bunch of experiences like this, it was like like being poked in a spot that was already sore.
Thirty minutes will turn into about 5 days this time. I have had other 30-minute jobs that took a lot longer, so this is not too bad.
