It was definitely a good decision by the builder to install that insulation, although I didn't see evidence of a vapor barrier. Without the insulation, the fluctuation in temperatures plus the humidity would most definitely be a problem in addition to mold. Innovative project, and most certainly a cheaper means to provide living quarters. The building must be in a remote area, that is not restricted by building codes;etc.:thumbsup:

Back i n Feb the Christchurch CBD was seriously damaged by an earthquake. (166 lives lost) The Cashall Mall was flattened so they have temporarily rebuilt using shipping containers.

I just talked to a contractor that is working up plans to build a home using a used grain bin. It is 36' in diameter and 18' high. He was going to get two and connect them for a garage. He planned to put a 16' bin next to the house and put the laundry and bath in it. It will be a while, but if he follows through, I'll let you know.

I would suggest a slight layer of spray foam on the interior should she start fussing. It should deaden and of the impact noises as the throws herself around or should she start yelling obscenities.
