Hi Daryl,
My dealer said I wouldn't have a problem without the block heater either. But for $72 installed, I figured it was cheap insurance! I know me, and I'd be really ticked the day it was 25 below zero and it wouldn't start! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif I put a post out (on New Holland by accident /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif) regarding block heaters and everyone who responded said they were a good thing to have. Less wear on the cold engine by having the oil flowing freely right from startup.
Grand Rapids is nice. I'm only 10 minutes from down town. We tend to get tons of lake effect snow thanks to Lake Michigan. I still have my Craftsman 28" blower that will have to get me by this winter. I've spent well enough on myself this year. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
