Figured I was doing good to get this load off the trailer with my 2015 w/clamp on forks...Leaned forward to check something...and viola - an instant reminder that I took the scraper off the three point.

Don't feel bad, I did something like that 2 weeks ago with my 6,500 pound Case skidsteer, I picked up a real full heaping load of dirt and stopped, all 4 wheels came off the ground and the whole machine was sitting on the bucket and my controls are full forward from throwing me forward and all 4 wheels are turning in the air, I will take smaller buckets next time, that got my attention real good. I wish I could have taken a picture of it

I'm new at my machine and I did learn that I can pick up more dirt than sand, it was heaped real good, it impresses me all the time it's an older one but a power house for me, lots of fun and I laughed after I calmed down

There's always another side to the coin...
I seriously considered the 3215. However the only way to my back yard is around the carport and I only have about 6-8 inches clearance around the corner with my bucket full up and the BH attached (which is about 95% of the time -this episode occured after I removed the BB & hadn't re-attached the BH before attempting to lift]. Having compared sizes carefully before purchasing, the larger rig would definitely get stuck on the corner, I would be getting my camera and using the image to lament not having purchased the smaller one!
Like any relationship, it works best when you understand and accept each others capabilities and limitations with love and respect. The 2015 has done everything I've asked of it and more so far on my 1 acre.

I was thinking about this thread when I brought some round bales in last week. I did this with a few on the 6500 with the FEL. Scared the crap out of me. This weekend when I got the rest of the bales I made sure to put one on the 3 point first for counterweight. I see a windsheild wiper fluid in the tires project coming in the near future. Have to look back for that thread to see how to do it.

Wiper fluid. Naw ya don't need it. Just remember to pick up the bale with the 3PH first. The only hairy bale is the last one. I've been loading silage bales all summer with a 4530 and have not had a single scary moment.

I had a bale on the back the second round. I could still feel the side to side shift. It needs the tires filled for sure. I had waited on that because I had some old tractors that had the caustic stuff and it ruined the rims. Didn't want to do that to the new Mahindra. I can get by this way but I think the fluid will really help when I get around to it.

Tim have you set the tires out as far as they will go. I know when I first got my tractor the tires were all the way in. I have since moved both the front and rears out it made a big difference.

Ok I just don't understand the side shift. I don't feel anything like that. There is no such thing as a flat field here, every one we do has a hill or a slope to it. Are you using a spear on the 3ph or a set of hay forks?

We use a couple of MF135 tractors to collect up silage bales ready to wrap them up...
They go on the back and it is wheelies all the way until you drop the bale back on the floor

Tried using front weights but they make it hard work to steer without powersteering without a bale on the back.

counterweight in the seat specs: 6'4" 225#: = ~10% of wt of TL
don't know the weight of the load other than it was at the outer limits of capabilities.

Yeah I am using 5 x 6 bales out of a 510 john deere baler. they are bigger than most of the new bales I see these days. My neighbors 530 hydraulic bales look quite a bit smaller. My baler manual says a grass bale can be 2200+ lbs. I don't doubt it for a second. I am using a bale carrier in the back and a double spear on the front. I slide into the front bale just above center like the loader manual says. It is just a lot of weight period.

I couldn't find a picture with one on the front and back but here is one of a smaller bale from last year. They get bigger .

WOW those are big. Most of ours average 1700-1800 pounds, but are 4'-0 diameter. Now I can understand the side shift. It is the bale carrier. My buddy has one on his JD that we use. I now know what you are talking about. I use a spear on the back of the 4530 and I do not experience the side shift deal. I like the spear better too. With the carrier I was always driving the spears under the soil and it was a pain. With the spear you are picking the bale up in the center so I think you have gravity sort of working with you.

you have to be kidding, your tractor can handel the biggest round bails without any counter weight with no problem. my 4500 2wd can do that.
