The issue I see with this design is the steep angle of the pivot arms during plowing. Most plows have the framework straight back to the vehicles frame during plowing and angled up during transport. The OP has the framework highly angled during plowing and more straight when transporting. When hitting an object or pushing heavy snow, the plow will be forced down and the vehicle up. If the OP has these issues during plowing, the fix should be fairly easy to remedy.

Having DIY'd my plows I soon learned that you want the push arms parallel to the ground.
Down angle creats lift or hopping while up leaves lots of snow behind as the plow 'climbs'.

Actually I'd suspect the best rig would be with the push arms anchored on the rear differential as I've seen on some old tractors.

Clever idea!!! Can't tell for sure if the lower links swivel at the box end? Also can't tell for sure how they control sideways movement??

A lot of the old Jeeps and Scouts and even the old pickups had the push part of the mount well to the rear of the frame.
Most dozer type blades for the larger tractors still run the main push bar back under the tractor to the drawbar mounts.

Wow, I like that V8 snow blower.

Seems like a poor example for a big block as the snow was bogging it down.

The photo does leave an exaggerated impression of downward angle. I am going into the third winter with it now and have experenced none of the troubles mentioned. I was concerned about the downward angle a little to start with so did put in a safety chain just in case my winch line broke.so no danger of driving up on top of it. Any blades I've ever built I have gone out of my way to build them as close up as possible makes them so much more controllable. The parralelogram action keeps the blade straight up and down even when its right up. That way the snow falls out instead of some coming with when I back up.I don't know what a hopping action would be unless the winch mount would be spongy. The edges of the box do have skids built underneath to keep from digging in. Of course almost all snow clearing here is done on frozen ground. Also my total lift height off the ground is probably 18" or so. If I went to the back axle I don't think I could get more than half that plus it would be much more difficult to attach. Only takes 10 minutes now.

Looks nice, good for small paved parking lots and such,
as mentioned the mounting angles are not conductive to heavy pushing.

Thanks.Unfortunately I do not have a small paved yard or parking lot. I have a rather large graveled yard and a 125 yard driveway. I have a 500 lb. weight sitting in the back right over the axle for added traction. I'll admit it ain't a D8 but it does the trick. The older I get the less I like snow and cold!!

I agree that you wouldn't like it with a main beam going under the vehicle. Lift height would be horrible.

I really like your four link design. Looks like it's very easy to unhook also. You are in a warm cab, great visibility, and not looking over your shoulder. All good.
