Hesston Rake Questions

I just bought an old Hesston 3981 rake, 12 wheel with kicker, from a local lot. It's pretty rough and needs some work, but I only paid 250$ for it. I know its the same rake as a H&S BF12, does anyone know where to find parts for either one? Also, does anyone have much experience with this rake, is it any good or should I just fix it and flip it for a profit?

Sounds like get rich quick to me. Spend $500 repairing it, $3K in time, now flip it for $500 cash to another guy who buys it because "it's too good a deal to pass up" and will try and flip it later. There, you just made $250 in profit...if you can find a buyer!

Unfortunately buyers for this kind of equipment are mostly tire kickers and time wasters and are too cheap to spend real money they don't have. Guys willing to spend too much money on things like cell phones and Tesla's don't buy old farm equipment.
