Here is the pics of the control box and the instructions. Look at it from the left. It shows the third wire going to the battery. My battery wire is second from the left. Is that a mistake in the drawing. Does the longer wire go to the battery.

The longer wire goes to the battery. I don't know what the deal is with the drawings of the control box. I hooked mine up temporarily on the floor right after I got it to make sure it moved in and out. I haven't got it hooked up permanently yet.

I'd say the short wires with the (yell, red, blk) boots in your first pic go to the motor. The coiled up long red would go to the battery. Pics 2 & 3 do show different locations where the power lead comes out of the solenoid box. It may be the factory ran your red power lead as shown in pic #2. The longer lead should go to the battery.
