Hi. Just joined. Have my dad's '78 L245DT with under 1200 hours, mostly brush hogging until I used it to clear a lot and dig for piers for my summer camp. Now that it's stuck out on an island for lack of transport I bought 2004 L5030, (cab, FEL, BH, Yorkie with blade, ballast box,) and I just bought a QA plate and 8' plow for it. Looking for chains to round out the winter. So far hauled 2 of 4 chords of maple out and love it in the woods. Nice machine.

I think the L245DT is a Kubota, isn't it? There are a fine forums for both buying and owning/operating Kubotas. I'm sure you'll find a wealth of information in there for that machine as well as the L5030.

So, how come the L245DT is stuck on an isand?
