Hi And Help !!!!!

Hi Guys and gals

I have a problem. just purchased a Stihl 029, seems to run perfect, ticks over lovely with good throttle response, however, as soon as i put the engine under load/ into a log it starts to loose power with the slightest pressure applied, i have to back of and take the saw out of the wood, then the revs recover and as soon as it starts to cut again the same thing happens, Gutted!!! what do i need to do????

to hi and help when you buy a new stil chain saw they install a restrictor in the exhust so it cant be over reved till motor has time to be broken in .something like 3tanks of fuel it will finely get where it wont run the dealer is subpose to tell you this . easy fix take muffler off you will fine washer shaped screen take it out and throw it away start saw adjust carb.till it will rev all the way up. check this also if somebody has been mixing to much 2 cyle oil it can stop up muffer if so clean muffler and change spark plug you should be good to go

Also check your chain and make shure it is sharp. I was cutting last weekend and noticed mine doing the same thing and saw that my chain was getting dull. I sharpened it and it ran fine. :thumbsup:
