New to this forum, moderately new to tractors (ours is still throwing me surprises now and then) and glad to find a place where I can learn more without pestering the dealer.
We have a John Deere 5105, presently used mainly for shredding on about 50-60 acres of grass, as part of prairie restoration project. Would be nice to find a not-too-expensive manure spreader, as the vegetable garden can't begin to keep up with the output of the two pasture ornaments (retired from more active use) presently in the barn. We also have a much smaller lawn-tractor sized JD, handy for the city-side part of the mowing and also for hauling tools, etc. out to the various construction projects (rain barns, fence work, check dams.)
