High Horsepower CUT

Yeah it seems anti stall is all the rage but it's not quite the same as true power management that heavy equipment has. I'll most certainly agree the LS 5065 is freakin sweat even with power shuttle. I almost stopped and looked at one at the dealer but was to scared I'd end up signing some papers.....

I believe Massey/Iseki also has an HST system with the anti-stall feature, that adds RPM's automatically to match speed.

That's a feature I'd like to see in a 60 HP, small utility sized tractor, with a utility sized loader that lifts over 3000 lbs & with breakout over 5000 lbs, to 108" height or higher.

Being a happy LS customer, I'd probably trade in tomorrow if they offered that HST on the U5030 or XU5065 .

The JD 4720 does all that except the 3000 pound lift and the 5000 breakout. I wonder if the IVT trannnies will ever make it down to the larger CUTs. JD doesn't even offer them in the 5000 series, just the 6000 and up. Unfortunately, it's about an 8K option to a tractor that's already knocking on the door of 100K. But, they do give you true power management, and a very powerful loader.

No offense, I'm just not a big JD fan. They are disgustingly overpriced in my opinion. The LS rigs I had mentioned offer more for much, much less. Unfortunately LS doesn't go higher than 47hp & 2638 lb loader in an HST setup at this time. But I think we'll all have better options in the near future, demand drives innovation afterall .

4720 deere is another tractor on my wish list. Deeres ehydro and power reverser are nice transmissions as is.

No offense taken, we all have our own perception of value...it's not always the lowest price to all people. It's always nice on these forums to see the process in which different people reach their buying decisions.

demand drives innovation afterall .

And competition.
