Nice Jeep and nice Cobalt. Make sure you get that trailer leveled out better behind that Jeep or you will really have tire issues on the trailer pulling it longer distances.

Chris

Yeah, I saw that pic looks like the trailer is not too level. Actually, that trailer is a "loaner" I used before buying an aluminum/steel Phoenix tandem trailer. The new one sits "just right".

I just bought a 6" forged aluminum drop hitch for the Overland. I have an assortment of drop sizes over the years....but I wanted a nice shiny one with the right specs for a good load (9000 lbs).

I just (today) trailer-ed an empty load....and then a light load with the anti-rattle bracket added. What a change for the better!! My aluminum trailer still rattles....but it inst coming from the hitch any more and the noise doesn't transmit like before. A good investment in my sanity!!

That Cobalt is one sweet riding boat. I think the boat and trailer weigh about 5500 lbs or so - plus gear and gas. They changed the model number to 232 now. Anyway, its 23 feet plus the swim platform. I have the 6.2 liter Mercruiser with duo (counter-rotating) props. Not too bad on fuel.....if you use a little common sense with the throttle.....about like the Jeep (But that is not always possible - grin).

My uncle has a 26' Cobalt with twin Volvo 4.3's. It has dual DP drives. Nice ride.

I have a boat very similar in size to yours but heavier at 7,000#. Its 28' from bow to stern if you include the extended swim platform. Its a cuddy with 30 gallon water system, flushing head with holding tank, micro, ect. Has a 800 watt stereo/Sirius with 8 speakers and 2 10" subs. Its a 2005 Ebbtide 2300 Mystique Cuddy. It has the 5.7 350 mag punched to a 383 Stroker motor in it and the Bravo III Dual prop. Basically the same motor as yours. It will run in the upper 50's and push 60 with light fuel and nothing on board. Its for sale now.

Nice Craft! That boat is about a size and a half more than ours. Mine does similar speeds. Fast enough. ;) Lotsa fun!
